Chicken nuggets


Nuggets tend to be very popular with children (and not so young): they are soft, easy to eat and they are very tasty. Unfortunately, they are usually associated with fast food restaurants or precooked dishes so that their composition and preparation raises a lot of suspicion among parents. This recipe that we show you below imitates the taste of nuggets but using top quality ingredients. In this way, every time your children ask for them, you will not have to go to the nearest fast food or feel remorse for not knowing exactly what you provide them.

INGREDIENTS :
  • 200 grams (7 oz) of chicken breast
  • 50 grams (3.5 oz) of white wheat flour
  • 1 egg + 1 egg white
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh cottage cheese, ricotta etc.
  • Bread crumbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • White wheat flour for the batter
  • Oil

We boil the chicken breast until it is well cooked.

Then we undo it carefully, removing any remaining bone, nerves, etc.

Mix the well shredded chicken with the egg white, the sifted flour, the fresh cheese and lightly season with salt and pepper.

We make small balls and pass them through flour, then give them the typical crushed shape of the nugget.

Then we pass them through the beaten egg and the breadcrumbs. Fry in abundant oil until lightly browned.

We let the excess oil drain on absorbent paper and voila, we already have some healthy nuggets that the little ones will not be able to distinguish from the "original" ones.
