That a dessert is literally called "laziness" says a lot about the difficulty and work required to make this cake, that is, between scarce and null. Indeed, Tinginys (laziness in Lithuanian) is a very popular Lithuanian dessert at Christmas in the Baltic country that only requires so little work to set it in the refrigerator, as it does not require an oven and it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare. That is why it is the typical cake that even those who have little desire to work can prepare.
INGREDIENTS :
- 500 grams(1.1 pounds) of cookies (normal ones)
- 1 can of condensed milk (400 grams / 0.88 pounds)
- 200 grams (7 oz) of unsalted butter
- 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
First we crumble the cookies with our hands in a bowl. It is not necessary, and it is not desirable, to turn them into flour, it is best to leave them in small pieces of irregular sizes.
In a saucepan over a fire, over medium power, we melt the butter and mix it with the condensed milk. Once this mixture is homogeneous, we add the cocoa powder, beating well so that it is integrated and then, while it is still hot, we pour the result into the bowl that contained the crumbled cookies. Mix well until obtaining a homogeneous dough.
In an elongated and rectangular mold we place a baking paper so that later it is easy to unmold the cake. We pour the dough, let it cool to room temperature and then put it in the fridge overnight.
The next day unmold obtaining a delicious cake that we will serve by cutting it into slices. It couldn't be easier, right?
